Scrappy 2 "incher"

This is a great quilt to make when you need some "quilt therapy" or you're going to a quilting retreat.  It's made up entirely of 2" half-square triangles and 2" squares.  The key to the success of this quilt is value; lights, mediums, and darks.

After I made Barbie's Bug I was told by my 9 year old granddaughter that I needed to make a "love bus".  This     summer while she was recuperating from brain tumor surgery, I knew that I had to get the bus made.  So this quilt is dedicated to Anna who also picked out the name for the quilt.  Pairs of Squares and Rectangles

Although I made this quilt with hand-dyed fabric, it would be equally lovely with batik or tone-on-tone cotton. The success of this pattern is from the contrast of light, medium, and dark valued fabrics. The directions include sizing for a throw, a twin, full, queen, and king size quilt. It’s fat quarter friendly. The quilt measures 48" x 52".
